Nawabi Semai Recipe | Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
Directions
Crush the semai to make it fine. Lachcha semai is best for this recipe.
Take a pan then add ghee /clarified butter.
Add 200 gm semai and roast it for 3 to 4 min on low flame until it turns crunchy.
After 2 min add 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 3 tbsp milk powder.
Mix it well and and fry for 4 to 5 mins on low flame.
Mix it well and and fry for 4 to 5 mins on low flame. Transfer it to a bowl and Keep aside.
Separate 1/2 cup milk from 1 ltr milk.
Add 4 tbsp milk powder into 1/2 cup milk.
Add 4tbsp powdered sugar , 1 tsp vanilla essence.
Stir and mix it well so that no lumps occur. Keep aside.
Boil milk on low flame. Once the millk starts boiling add milk powder mixture.
Boil for 3 to 4 mins on low medium flame.
When it becomes little thick add 1/2 cup condensed milk. Boil it for another 2 min.
Turn off the flame when it becomes thick.
Take a rectangular or square shape mould ,make the first layer by spreading the semai all over the space.
Keep some semai aside for another layer.
Press it by using any bowl, making sure it will be tight.
Pour the creamy thick mixture over the semai ,cover it properly. Make a thick layer.
Now make the third layer by covering the creamy mixture with the rest of the semai.
You can sprinkle roasted almond , nuts on top.
