Kadai Chicken Recipe | Restaurant Style Kadai Chicken is a delicious, spicy chicken curry made with chicken, onion, capsicum, garlic, tomatoes and freshly ground spices.
This dish is made in an Indian Vessel called Kadai or Wok hence it is named as Kadai Chicken. This recipe is a popular recipe in most Indian restaurants.
Ingredients
Directions

For making kadai masala add 1 & 1/2 tsp coriander seeds, 3/4 tsp Cumin Seeds, 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 2 dry red chillis in a pan.

Dry roast for 1 to 2 min on low flame. Coarsely grind the spices and keep aside.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add onion and capsicum cubes and fry it for 2 to 3 min on low flame.

After 3 min take out in a plate.
In the same pan add 2 tbsp oil , all whole spices and cumin seeds.

Then add chopped onion. Fry for 2 to 3 min in a low medium flame.
Add 2 tsp ginger garlic paste. Give a mix and Cook until light brown.

Now add chicken pieces. Cook for 4 to 5 min on high flame.

Add salt as required. Mix well.
Add 1/4 turmeric powder, 2 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder.

Fry for 3 to 4 min in a low medium flame.
Add 4 tbsp tomato paste. Mix well and cook for 2 min on low flame.
Now add kadai masala and mix well.

Add 2 tbsp cashew paste and give a mix.

Add 2 cups of water. Cover and cook for 10 to 12 mins in a low flame.

Then add fried onion and capsicum. Stir well.

Add kasuri methi and give a mix.

Turn off the flame and serve hot with nan or roti .
